I am a self taught artist who draws and paints for pleasure, I've never entered competitions, never considered exhibiting, quite happy just to saunter along at my own pace.
I first got interested in art at school, Our art teacher basically let us get on with whatever we wanted to do, encouraging us to develop our own styles and not follow what he may have had in mind.
I first joined the UK Coloured Pencil Society around 2010, but in 2011 i suffered trauma in a works accident to my Left shoulder and upper arm, although I am right handed when I fell I landed on both arms which left me with numbness in both hands, being unable to grip pencils for more than a few minutes at a time, between 2011 and now ( 2017 ) I must have joined and left the society at least 3-4 times, and now 6 years later most of the nerve damage has healed and the numbness is almost gone, so now at long last I'm able to pursue my love of drawing and painting once again.

Nearly all my art is created using photographs taken by myself or family, I use Faber Castell Polychromos and Albrecht Durer, Derwent Artists, Inktense, Studio and the new Derwent Procolour.
