I'm a self taught artist having no formal art training since "A" level. I started drawing and painting again as a form of relaxation when I had a full time job with a daily four hour commute plus a smallholding with pigs, rabbits and every form of poultry imaginable. The smallholding was called "Backyard Bunnies" hence my art goes under the title of "The Art of Backyard Bunnies". I'm increasingly drawn to coloured crayons although I also paint in oils, watercolours and acrylics. I love the versatility of crayons plus they are so easy to transport and use in the field.
I have completed several animal commissions in coloured crayon - I love the detail that I can't seem to master in oils!
My crayon drawing of my cat "GT" was specially commended in the 2016 Light, Space and Time Annual Animal Art Competition. I regularly exhibit with The Bramshott and Liphook Art and Crafts Society and have had two exhibitions, one solo and one with a fellow artist at Haslemere Museum in Surrey. I have a permanent exhibition at "La Cornemuse" in Mäel Pestivien, Brittany.
